Wild Fire Smoke Damage
Smoke or soot damage to structure and personal contents happen very frequently. This before and after picture set is an example that illustrates the fine layer of soot on the brick, fireplace and drywall around it. Our team was able to perform a detailed cleaning of the entire room to remove the soot and restore the appearance to previous damage conditions. Soot can be very damaging to the surface of the materials. Since most soot is acidic, the soot can etch or "pit" the material. This can leave visible damage to polished or smooth surfaces. A quick response by the SERVPRO team can prevent further damage and usually restore contents back to previous conditions before the soot damage.
